Delegates from all over the world who attended the Seventh International Conference on Climate Change: Impacts and Responses.
We were honored to have the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS) as our partner for The International Conference on Climate Change: Impacts and Responses.
PICS pulls together the intellectual capital of the province into a dynamic knowledge network that integrates multi-disciplinary approaches to climate change. PICS sponsored a public lecture during the conference at UBC Robson Square and gave a colloquium entitled "The BC Experience with Climate Change Action." The colloquium focused on several facets of the British Columbia experience with climate change action including carbon tax impacts, the carbon neutral government experience, forest adaption planning, liquified natural gas issues, and much more.
The Seventh International Conference on Climate Change: Impacts & Responses featured plenary sessions by some of the world’s leading thinkers and innovators in the field.
For each conference, a small number of Graduate Scholar Awards are given to outstanding graduate students who have an active academic interest in the conference area. The Award with its accompanying responsibilities provides a strong professional development opportunity for graduate students at this stage in their academic careers. The 2015 Graduate Scholar Awardees are listed below.
